My dad is one of my favorite people in the whole world! We have always had a good relationship ever since I can remember.
- He is such a good example to me!
- He always talks positively about my mom. There is no doubt in anybody's mind that my dad loves my mom more than anyone else in the whole world. (I know I'm my dad's favorite, but I also know that Mom's the only one that's got me beat. Isn't that the way it's supposed to be?)
- When I was little he would wake me up for school singing songs. The one he used most often was:
"It's time to get up in the morning,It's time to rise and shine.It's time to get up in the morning,I hope you're feeling fine!Come on. Get up. Get out of bed!Come on, get up, ya sleepy head!"
In fact if anyone besides Dad woke me up, or if he didn't sing to wake me up I would be cranky!
- He has the best hugs in the whole world. Nothing's better than a "Daddy Hug". (Just ask my sisters.)
- He loves each grandchild just as much as the next. You will always hear him say, "Your heart grows with each child. When each baby is born, I don't love the others any less, my heart just grows and I love that baby as much as I love the others." He told Jason, "I love this little guy as much as I love his mother!" (That can only mean he's the favorite grandchild, since I'm the favorite child, right?)
- He can always make me smile when I'm feeling sad.
- He cries with me when I cry.
- He was always willing to give me a Father's Blessing. We've had some special times with me sitting in his room on that old wood chair by his desk.
- I've never doubted that he loves me!
- He is quick to apologize if ever my feelings were hurt.
- He is so funny! I laugh so hard with my daddy sometimes. He just cracks me right up... (Bowzer...)
- He always has a listening ear. And he always know's just what I need to hear. He remembers council from the scriptures and the prophets and knows just what it is that I need to know at that moment.
I could go on and on and on... but I won't. The point is, I love you, Daddy! And I am so glad that I was born into your family! You were just the father I needed to help me become the person I am today. Thanks for all the council and advise that you've given me over the years! Thanks for the way that you treat mom and the wonderful things you say about her. You're the best dad in the whole wide world. I love ya, Pop!

It's fun to read those comments about our dada .. and I agree 100%. We sure are blessed to have both our parents aren't we!?!
Thanks Sharece, that was a great tribute to our dad. I agree completely. (Except -- I always thought I was his favorite, and it hurts just a little to find out that's not true.)
And how lucky am I that he accepts me as his daughter as much as any of you! I would also like to add that he has taught my husband some first-rate qualities as well. I could never have hoped for a more loving father-in-law.
Bryce and Sharece you are both wrong, it is I who am the favorite. But all the rest is true. love it!
