We headed down to Flaming Gorge to spend some time with my wonderful in-laws! It was a lot of fun. On the way I realized that I had forgotten Jason's blankets... Which made me realize I'd forgotten mine and Bryce's as well!! Luckily Janis and Lee shared one of thier sleeping bags with us so we wouldn't freeze. It was actually quite a warm night for camping so we stayed plenty warm. (Thanks for sharing!)
When we got there we went right out on the boat to do some fishing. I didn't get my fishing license so I just enjoyed watching the others fish and taking pictures.
Jason didn't mind wearing his life jacket one bit. He's such a good little baby!
Jason had so much fun riding over the waves on Grandma's lap. She would say "Bump, Bump, Bump." and he would LAUGH! It was quite entertaining for all of us.
Here's a picture of me with Jas Bud.

Back at camp, Jas thought he'd try a little fishing.
I love how just the handle is taller than he is!

Friday...

We woke up at 5 AM and went out on the lake again.
Janis in her pj's. She's a smart woman!
We even made poor Jas get up!
You can tell Dad is a true fisherman! Look at the smile on his face!
I got to see the sun rise. It was beautiful! It's not a sight I see very often... I'm not much of a morning person... As most of you can attest to. =)
This first one's not the most beautiful, it just shows how early we were out.
Here's a better picture a few minutes later.
And my favorite sunrise picture of all.
Well our early morning adventure payed off. After about an HOUR of putting around, we finally caught one!
Dad and Bryce caught a total of 4 Lake Trout. One big one got away after getting it within 15 feet of the boat. (Well we don't really know if it was big, cuz we never saw it, but it sure was mean. It fought harder than any of the others... And it actually got away. Maybe the rest should have put up of little more fight.)
Jason was a little sweetie through all of it. He wasn't too grumpy for being woken up so early.
Maybe he'll be a true fisherman someday as well!
We went out fishing again later, after eating breakfast and packing up camp. It was actually raining so we were all huddled up trying to stay dry on the boat. (I also didn't bring jackets for anyone either.) Dad was wearing long sleeves and long pants, so he was kind enough to give me his coat. (THANKS DAD) And Janis shared one of her sweaters with Jason... Poor Bryce got stuck with a towel!
We trolled for quite a bit without a single bite. Bryce decided to do some fishing off the side of the boat and to his great suprise... He caught a Rainbow Trout. He was so excited. None of us were expecting to get anything since it wasn't 6 AM anymore. It was kind of a fun suprise.
After that we all just packed off and headed home. It was a great little get-away. And on the way home I had to take a picture of the sunset... It's not everyday that I see the sunrise and sunset all in one day!

I'm glad someone went all the way there to see them! Dad wasn't happy that we went camping at the same time and didn't go up there with them. Oops.
I LOVE your sunrise picture. That's awesome. You should post it on our other site just for the heck of it.
