Flaming Gorge Part 1

After we got home from Fish Lake we were only home for 4 days then we were off camping again for another family reunion!  This one with Bryce's dad and all the Rowser cousins.  I love Flaming Gorge and each year we have such a great time.

This year Bryce and I headed out a little early and invited my sister Lara and her family to come.  We headed out Thursday and they were there until Sunday.  What a blast we had!

Here is Jess coming home with his "antlers" of firewood.  This stuff burnt dry and hot.  It was awesome firewood!  But it also had big ol' thorns all over so poor Jess paid the price for us!

The lighting is just beautiful every evening!

We brought some sand toys and the boys had a blast playing with them.

The "antlers" were also great for climbing!

Haha!  This man stopped by our camp and commented on what a butter ball my little Kaylee is....  Unfortunately she looked like this at the time!  Quite frightening for such a cute little girl!

We only fished for about 30 minutes while Lara and Jess were there and we only got one bite.  But this little boy is my fisherman!  He is happy just to have a pole in his hands!

Bryce and Jess both went off the rope swing a few times!  It was REALLY HIGH this year!

I however... Lots of fear!

This was the scariest part.  I thought I was going to slip off that rock to my death!  I'm so glad Bryce was there to help me across!

But I DID IT!!!

(Thanks Lara and Jess for manning the boat so that I could do this... Even though it did NOT want to cooperate for you!)

On the way back from the swing we stopped in the channel to let the kids play for a bit.  I think they had a fun time!

In previous years we have been able to drive the boat through this channel.  This year the water was too low... But we could still get out and PUSH the boat through the channel!  Haha, Here is Bryce and Jess pushing it through while the kids play.
