A Week Away

I feel like it's been awhile; I've missed blogging.
You see, I was up at my parents house all last week. My sister Lara and I went up on Monday and our husbands joined us on Thursday really late. Then we all stayed til Saturday. It was a blast. Here are some of the highlights of the week:
  • We went on a walk and saw some tiny donkeys. They seriously only came up to my waist. Then we went back to see them on Friday night and there was a Great Dane that was taller than the donkeys. It was so cool. It made me want to get a Great Dane, those dogs are awesome.
  • We tried to get some pies at Albertson's. (They had the great deal of buy one pie get another pie and 2 things of ice cream for free!!) We had to get a rain check cuz they were all out of pies... We went 3 times, never any pies. :(
  • I got to see my niece Karina ice skate!! She's taking lessons and she is the cutest little ice skater I've ever seen. I wish I had taken pictures!
  • Lisa and I went to the cheese store, the dollar store, and the grocery store. It was fun to spend time with her. :)
  • Jason ate his first graham crackers. He was pretty cute.
  • I got to play 5 crowns with my family. It was so much fun.
  • I was able to go to my cousin Brett's luncheon.
  • We spent some time at 6-star, and George Dean found some pretty cool "hunt guns for kids".
  • Bla, Bla, Bla... I could go on and on. The point is, is that I had a lot of fun. It was so fun to spend a week with my family.

Before our husbands joined us Lara and I shared a room with our boys. Kayson is one year older than Jason; it was an adventure! When Bryce came, he and I were in the living room with Jason. (Thanks Lara for letting us use your porta-crib!) Needless to say, I am so glad that Jason has his own room. It was so nice to come home and put him down in his own crib. I think it was the best night sleep either of us had all week. ;)

Ok, ok, I'm done with my all word post. I don't do it very often but I just wanted ya all to know what I've been up to. I'm just lovin' life, and I love being a mom.
