Blanket

My friend had a new baby about a week ago, so I thought I'd make her a blanket for him. I picked footballs because all little boys love balls, right? I got the idea from my friend Rose who posted a sewing project a while back that she'd done. I finally tried it with this blanket, and it actually turned out pretty cute. I was nervous for a bit there. :)

Here's the whole blanket
The football helmet
(front)
(back)
And a goal post.
What I did was I got 3 different materials front, middle (dk brown), and back (tannish). I pinned them together and sewed the shapes of the pictures I wanted. Then I sewed the hem around the outside. Then to show the different colors, you just cut down to the layer you want to be showing. Pretty fun. And it's something I've never tried before. Thanks for sharing, Rose!

What a cute blanket! I wish I was talented enough to do that! (Even though it's probably way easy, I'm sure I'd find a way to mess it up! LOL)
