I tried to make his birthday special for him, I printed off some pictures (one from each birthday so far) and hung in his bedroom doorway.
I let him pick all the meals. But it seemed like he didn't really want to pick. So I just picked things I know he likes.
We had crepes with fresh strawberries and whipped cream for breakfast. Mmmm, mmm.
Jason wanted to go to the zoo for his birthday. We had a lot of cousin's and family coming, so Jason was really excited. We got to the zoo around 2:00 only to see a sign, "Zoo Closes at 2:30 Today" What! Well not everyone wanted to pay $10-$13 to go to the zoo for 45 minutes, so we decided to meet at the park instead. (Thank you everyone for being flexible with all the crazy changes that day!) Luckily, Lara and I have a zoo pass so it got Lara, Ambier, and I in with our families so Jason did get to go for a few minutes after all.
Cute cousins!

The dinosaurs are still there. This time Jas was not so timid around the T-Rex. In fact this was his idea, not mine.

Talon on the other hand, was not sure what to think of that big scary thing. Cute boys.

At the park it started to POOR! Seriously, this was no tiny rain storm, but luckily it was warm rain so the kids just had fun playing in it.
Here is Talon enjoying the puddles. He really liked to crawl through them to get the most water on him. He was SOAKED. :)

We all sang "Happy Birthday" to Jason and he didn't look to happy about it. He put his little head down and looked kind of embarrassed. Silly boy.

But later that night we sung to him again, this time with candles and daddy and he seemed to really enjoy that! Maybe the first time he was thinking... "What! No candles? This isn't right." :)
After we sang he got his presents. He was so excited to open his presents. He got some finger paint with a huge pad of paper, and....
A new bike! (and helmet)
