Home-cooked Meals

I've been trying some new things in the kitchen which is big step for me, cuz I often have a hard time cooking meals. Just ask Bryce, more often than not I have no idea what to cook and we end up eating burritos or something like that...
Here is my Home-Made Cheese and Beef Ravioli. I always see those fresh ravioli in the store and it always looks so good, so I tried making my own. It was very tasty but it took a long time to make.
Here is a little foot print. Jason and I were eating some alfredo for lunch and Jas dropped a noodle on the floor. He was so concerned about picking it up that he couldn't eat another bite until it was off the floor. So in the process of putting him on the floor to pick up the one dropped noodle, I knocked over the entire plate of pasta! Goodbye lunch! As I was cleaning it up, Jas stepped on the plate. Luckily he had socks on so I could just slip it off so he didn't get alfredo everywhere he walked. :)
Back in January we purchased a fancy blender from Costco. There was someone there demonstrating it. He made us a smoothie, ice cream, ground some wheat, and told us you can even make a loaf of bread in there! I was sold, but it was Bryce's idea to actually get it.

Here we are trying it out for the first time.
Jason loved it! He wanted to be right there watching. And he still loves it anytime we blend something.
In fact sometimes he likes to make his own creations... Yummy.
Valentines:

Bryce and I stayed in for our Valentines celebration. (The candles are from a Halloween dinner I did for us a while ago... So don't judge them.) ;)
I made Chicken Cordon Bleu! It was way fast, easy, and DELICIOUS! My favorite kind of meal. :)
I even had a vegitable, mashed potatoes, and fruit!
And here is my very first attemped loaf of bread. I mixed it in my wonder blender. It looks good, but sadly it turned out like a brick and it wasn't very tasty. Though Jason loved it and ate it every morning with some home-made grape jelly we got for Christmas. Bryce ate some and told me to throw it away... At least one of my two boys liked it! :)
And last but not least... Microwave Popcorn! We got a new microwave from my parents and it has a popcorn button. As it was nearing the end it was still popping so I added some time to it so all the kernals would pop. Note to self: Do not add time to the Automatic Popcorn Button!

I love the Popcorn... I have done that before. What a fun Blender... I wonder what makes it so much better than any other blender?

that popcorn looks tasty! we always add time, but only 30 seconds and even then we don't usually let it do the whole 30 seconds!
Awesome job with your meals .. I'm so proud of you! :)

Sharece, here is the secret to cooking microwave popcorn. You always let it cook for about 12 seconds after the popping stops and then let it sit in the microwave for an additional 2-3 minutes. This lightly burns some, but not all, the popcorn. Then you take a handful of both lightly burned and nonburned popcorn and put it all in your mouth. Perfect!

The chicken looks great. Sebastien is here sitting on my lap looking at your blog with me and when we saw it he started clapping and saying "Taste! Taste!" I guess we'll have to try and make it too! You're little Jason is adorable. Love the pictures.
