All About Jason

*BEWARE-- VERY LONG POST**

I know it's been awhile since I've posted... and Bryce keeps getting on my case to update. So thanks to my wonderful husband I am finally updating my blog. :)

Jason is getting so old and is still stinking cute. He does so many things that just surprise me everyday because of how smart he is getting. He has learned that he can get anything he wants by pushing our kitchen chairs around to use as a stool. He's even learned to open the fridge. My only saving grace (for now) is that he hasn't figured out how to open doors yet. Although he sure does try. :)

He's slept all night in his toddler bed a total of 3 times now. We let him choose every night which one he wants and it's usually his crib. But when he does sleep in the toddler bed he does so good! One night he fell asleep in his toddler bed and I didn't hear from him again til 9:00 the next morning! (That is late for him.) But it was so cute. I heard him stirring in his room and the next thing I know he's in there knocking on the door to let us know he's awake. No crying or anything. It made my day!!

Jason loves to put on hats these days. He loves to put hats on himself and on us. He found his daddy's Utah State Hockey hat and was wearing it around. It was so cute. But of course as soon as I got out the camera he wouldn't wear it anymore. But o well, he's still cute in this picture, right?
He is totally obsessed with silverware lately. Ever since he learned to pull the chair over to our silverware drawer he's always getting into them. We made crepes for breakfast the other morning and Jason decided he needed a spoon to eat his breakfast with. He ran over and got himself one. I told him that crepe's are finger food and we didn't need a spoon. He then looked at me and ran over and got another spoon and brought it to me. He's so thoughtful, even if we didn't really need them, at least I didn't feel left out. What a cutie.
Jason loves to read books. Every night before bed he'll sit by me and we'll read some books. But that's not the only time he'll read. Nope, I often will find him with a book sitting on the couch or pulling his chair up to the rocking foot rest (using it as a table). Today I was reading Harry Potter and he just sat right next to me with his own book and started reading. It was so fun.

Here he is reading with his daddy. My two favorite boys!
He loves his blankets. Whenever he gets a hold of one of them he'll bring it to us. We hold it out and he backs up into it so we can wrap him up in it. Here he asked Daddy to wrap him up and then just wanted to be held. Guess he was tired!
And last but not least. We had to chance to watch my friend Mindy's little baby last Saturday. Her husband took her to a basketball game for her birthday so we got to spend the whole evening with cute little Sophia. She is such a sweet baby! (Thanks for letting us watch her, Mindy. We had fun with her!)
Mindy was so worried that she hadn't packed enough milk for her little sweetie, but she surprised us all by sleeping the entire time! She woke up once to eat (because I made her) and then she went right back to sleep after drinking only two ounces. I tell you, babies can sleep through anything. It's wonderful. She even slept through all of Jason's loving pesterings.
Isn't she sweet??
Jason was so thrilled to have her at our house. He didn't leave her side except for dinner the whole night. (He even shared his make-believe food with her. He would take a bite, then put a bite in her mouth. It was cute.) And when she did eat (for real) Jason wanted to be right there helping. He helped me hold the bottle for her.
All of this kind of made me excited and very nervous for when we have our next baby. Thankfully he'll be older by then and hopefully be able to understand a little better. I guess we'll see when that time comes. But he was really sweet with her, so I don't worry about him being mean, just overly loving. So he'll probably be a really good big brother. I hope. :)

How fun! I love that he thinks he is getting so grown up and independent. He will be such a great helper with the new little bundle of joy this fall :)

What a cute little guy! I think that he was nice to Sophia because he's in love with her personally - but it could also mean that he'll be a great big brother. :)
