Mommy Needs a Time Out

While I was in the midst of baking pumpkin goodies, Jason was playing with the utinsels as usual. Then to my dismay I heard a "click" and looked down and this is what I saw...
I tried to get it out, but it is a cheese slicer and it has a little lip that made it so it was wedged in tight. I told Jason to stop touching it, but I guess with me fiddling with it he couldn't resist, so I moved him to the stairs.
Then as I picked him up from off of the stairs I noticed his pants were all wet... Yes, that's right there was poop all down his leg. YUCK! So I cleaned him up, soaked his drawers, and washed my arms real good, tried to get the cheese slicer out again... with no luck. I was a bit snappish. I finally told Jason, "Mommy needs a time out." And I took a break and came downstairs.
Well Jason is a cute little thing and I soon cooled off. And now typing this it sounds like such a silly thing to get frustrated over... And after using my brains and a butter knife, I got the cheese slicer out without breaking my dishwasher. So all is okay once again!

I know, it suck, but it made me laugh! This is only the beginning, you just wait. They are full of fun "surprises" like that.

There are many "silly" things that I get frustrated about too ... yet at the moment, it is not so silly. That was very smart of you to take a break and let yourself calm down before trying again. As always, I can learn so much from you! :)

Glad you were smart to take a time out! It does help and make things that seem so terrible not so bad! I think I need to put myself in time out more often and take a second look. Remember we are the teachers here!

sharece, you are hilarious! i love how you can always illustrate your stories with pictures. i'd totally be bugged too - and poop all over never helps. =)
