Jason's First Camping Trip

We took Jason camping with us for the first time over Labor Day weekend. We went to a Petersen family reunion up at Warm River, Idaho. I was so nervous to bring my little 5 week old, but he turned out to be quite the camper!
In fact he slept better in our cold tent than his daddy did. (I think for part of the night Jason stole Bryce's body heater.)
He loves being held so he stayed warm and happy where there was always someone with willing arms to hold him.
His cousin Lydia started calling him "Baby Jason" which was so cute and now Bryce and I will often tack on the word 'baby' to our son's name.
Isn't he a cute lil' camper?

He is a cute camper. I sure love your little boy.

What is he sleeping in? It looks so comfy cozy!

He's sleeping in his little sleeping bag... It's a bag you can actually buckle into your carseat to keep your baby warm. I borrowed it from Jody. She's a life saver!

I love the animal blanket. It made me miss my girls being babies again. I think the earliest we ever took them camping was at 2 months. (But they were born in April and May - so it wasn't quite warm enough yet) Good for you to get him started already. I am sure my kids ALWAYS sleep better than me in a tent ;)
