Life with a New Born

First of all, I cannot believe that Christmas is in 3 days!  That seems so crazy to me.  I haven't really been out participating in the festivities this year, so it has really snuck up on me.  My boys are at a Rowser Family Christmas Party as we speak, and I must admit I am a little jealous.  :)  I love family Christmas parties.  But I am glad that they all got to go and didn't have to miss out just cuz I don't dare bring Kaylee to the "madness" yet.  (I say madness in the most endearing way possible of course!)

Secondly, I can't believe my baby girl is already 2 weeks old!  I wish the last few weeks of pregnancy went as fast as the first few weeks of the baby's life.  :)

She is such an angel baby.  She is so calm, even with Jason trying to pick her up every five minutes all day long.

She sleeps about 4 hours in between feedings, and at night is already going 5-7 hours at a time.  She is a sweet heart and could not be more loved!  The boys adore her and take good care of her.  Jason calls her "the baby" or "baby girl" most often.  And Tyler refers to her as "baby sister".  They are so cute!

While I have been "sleeping" my life away.  (Or at least it feels that way sometimes.)  My boys have been really taken care of by Grandma.  My Mom came to stay with us this past week once Bryce had to go back to work!  And I am so grateful for her and her kindness!  Even as I type this I am getting teary eyed just thinking about her unselfishness and how thankful I am that she could come spend her time with us!  Not only did she entertain my poor neglected boys, she made me meals everyday, and not only that but my freezer is stocked up with meals to feed us for at least a week longer.  She is so wonderful.  I'm pretty sure she played "One Fish, Two Fish" more times than I can count and had to put that fire truck puzzle together many, MANY times, but she didn't seem to mind.  She says that she just had fun with them.  I love her so much!

Bryce still loves his Kaylee J more than anything.  I think he is going through withdrawals from being away from her so much.  (Or maybe it's just me missing him, cuz he's gone so much.) :) But he sure is a good dad!  I love the way he plays with our kids and loves them to pieces!  He is the most patient man I know.  I could learn so much from that sweet husband of mine.  He teaches me by example every day.

Now here are a few pictures of the family with our sweet little girl:

I guess Kaylee wanted to "play rough" with the boys.  Here she is tackling Tyler and Daddy.

Tyler reading "Green Eggs and Ham" to his baby sister.

Jason loves to take naps with his baby girl.  There is nothing sweeter!

Jason is thrilled that I decided to switch to bottles.  Ever since she was born he was asking, "When the baby can drink milk?"  So the first time he got to feed her himself I had to take a picture.  He sure does take care of this little girl.
